Orbolt is a horrible and frustrating user experience. It reflects badly on SideFX. A new comer to Houdini software will assume (as I did) that it was maintained and endorsed by SideFX. I guess this is not the case but it is still part of the asset library which sure looks like it is part of the Houdini software. This needs to change as it is very confusing to new users.

I'm still trying to contact SideFX regarding Houdini.FairMarket.Land [houdini.fairmarket.land].
Again, if anyone knows who I'm supposed to reach out, please DM me!
Have a nice day, cheers!

Gumroad are excellent alternatives
In term of platform yes, in term of fees, Gumroad is really expensive.

If I look at my own sells:
Gumroad took 10% + 30% (listing fees).
Paypal took around 7% (even more if the transaction wasn't in USD).

So a total of 47% of fees. Yes I removed my work from there ^^.

At the time of writing, FairMarket.Land [fairmarket.land] fees is 5% (3 spots left), then 10% + Stripe fees.

Regarding integration and such - it would be nice to have something similar to Blender's extension, I'll have to dig into this, if anyone knows about this, I'd be very happy to hear from him .

What’s this 30% listing fee non-sense about? Could you explain where that number comes from?

I've sold stuff on Gumroad and I've never charged the "30% listing fee". The user above you is probably a shill of "fairmarket.land" or whatever they're promoting.

Sure, it's the discovery fee, it starts at 30%, the more you put in it the more you'll be visible on the discovery feature.

If your customer lands directly on your product page then you indeed won't have to pay for discovery fees. In my case, most of my sales came from that discovery feature.

To clarify, I'm not a shill of fairmarket.land, I'm the creator of it, and I’ve mentioned before that my goal was to engage with SideFX.

The way Gumroad structures its fees, along with some philosophical differences, was one of the driving factors behind why I created an alternative.

That said, I’m not here to promote fairmarket.land in this thread. It wouldn’t be relevant to the current discussion.
