Hello, I am trying a create some basalt style rocks and I have come to a problem dissolving some edges. I have included a picture of what I would like to do. Are there any thoughts on how to achieve removing just these edges leaving that basalt look?

Instead of subdividing the triangle mesh, just compute the dual mesh, you can do that with the Divide SOP and you'll be left with the 6-sided prims.

I did buy I want to dissolve the specific edges I outlined to get nice clean N-Gons for basalt stone shapes. I did try and transfer a group selection but that doesn't give a perfect selection. Its close but not quite what I am need.

This is a really cool method I haven't used before.

I looked at some other solutions that I found on artstation and integrated it with my needs and have a good start with this node combination.
