One time i woke up on a strange planet by the side of a freeway of flying cars. These strange looking eye creatures were bent over me, and they looked very concerned... I'm not sure how i got back, but I'm here now, and I figured i would model one of them for today's entry.
I tried to rig it with APEX, but I ran into a problem with the fktransform autorigcomponent which seems to be a bug in the script. Please see the attached hip file for details, and i can log a proper bug report, too.

Apologies for the messy node networks and render quality; I'm cutting it close!

!!!!!!! EDIT: Higher quality render submitted and reattached here. I understand if the re-submission is un-submittable at this point, but I want to put it here regardless.

Seriously awesome work, folks — keep it up! COPs next, right?
---
Not the first time I’ve used sweeps, copy-to-points, and VDB SDF operations to model a seahorse in SOPs, and probably won’t be the last. This one was time-boxed a bit too tightly considering the goals, so the planned aquarium setting didn’t make the cut, and the subsurface Karma material isn’t quite where I wanted it yet—but I learned a lot on this one. Hope you enjoy it!
See you soon,
