Hi all,

I just bought HD apprentice. I installed the program and licenses without a problem, and gave it access to the internet, but I can't get passed the splash screen. It just hangs.

I'm running Vista, and I think it may be an Administator thing, although I turned that option off, and have no problems with other programs hanging like this. Any input would be appreciated!

I had something similar, but in Windows XP x64.

Turns out it was a firewall thing. Check your firewall settings, and I'm 99% sure, you'll be able to go beyond the splash screen

I thought I had everything covered at first, but I missed the ‘mplay.exe’. Giving it access in Zonealarm did it. It now loads just fine. Thank you very much for the quick reply.

There is next to nothing I know about Houdini…yet, but as I had this problem myself, I just had to share the knowledge. And what with the holidays, internetdom seems deserted. I had to live the Christmas spirit.
