Hi guy's I'm new to Houdini, I've watched somewhere half of the tutorials provided at sidefx.com. I've build my first forrest a spoon and some other things. Who ho :p, I I've got several years of experience in Maya, but Houdini got me (There goes another year or 2 of my life ;-).
But I'm looking for a book, dvd set or something that can teach me the package in a proper way, so I'm up to speed for production purpose asap.
Does anyone can give me some advice at this subject? I've looked at the Didital tutors trailer, but it gives me the feeling being treaded like a complete fool or something. (Not willing to harm any one)
Getting started, please advise

Go cmivfx.com. Very comprehensive set. There are few older dvd for Houdini8, but they are worth to buy also.
The number of 3dbuzz.com materials (also legacy, for older Houdini) are very informative and simply fun.
Welcome and good luck!
Simon.
EDIT: I don't have anything to DT, it's just a different way of teaching but above sources are a way deeper then DT, imho.

I'm afraid I have to recall my opinion according to the digital tutors DVD's. I've just played around at there website and I discovered there Houdini tutorials are quite good. I guess I'll order them right away .
My apologize to Digital tutors,
Still any other suggestions according to learning dvd's books for Houdini?

@ SYmek:
I've just finished my first video at 3d buzz, and I must say it just brilliant. I mean this guy is able to talk 42 minutes strait at a certain speed (Fast ) about the interface without doing anything at all. But after these 42 minutes it totally clear , the 2 guy's discussing things is also a big part of the ‘brilliantnes’.
