Import Parameter from other network type

Its possible to import a parameter from other network? for example i define a color map string in a vex vop surface and export these parameter; then i create a vex vop shader and, how can import these parameter string that i define in the vex vop surface to use in the vex vop shader? it this possible??

i try with a parameter in the vex vop shader with the same name as the para meter from the vex vop surface and didnt work.

I'm not entirely sure what you're trying to do. Can you use a channel reference?

Its OK with a channel reference its absolutely possible, but i want to know if it is possible with a parameter from other context or network.
