Hi there,
I'm playing around with scripting, and was wondering, what are the limits for operations, eg add.
How many points can I safely stuff into one add?
Cheers,
Jonathan.

I believe it is limited by the memory on your machine. To be realistic, I wouldn't use the Add SOP to place more than a few points but you should be able to push it pretty far. If you do hit a limit, you can always append another Add SOP and keep on going. Notice that the Add SOP has an input and easily works with input data to build other data, just like connect the dots.
There are other tools like the curve SOP that would do this much more nicely: adding a lot of points in the viewport.

There's at least one school like the old school!
