Collide particle fluid with voxel smoke?

Hey I'm trying to drop a blob of liquid (Particle Fluid) (ECU raindrop type shot) through a voxel cloud. I'm not sure how to get them to interact. I'm hoping to leave a swirling hole in the cloud as the drop passes through.
What's the best way of tackling this?
Thanks!

I suggest doing your particle fluid simulation separately, and then surfacing it. You should then be able to bring the surface in as a deforming static object (with point velocity turned on in the solver) so that it can act as a collider against your smoke sim.

Hey Thanks for your help!
Do you mind attaching a very basic hipnc setup so I can see what you mean? Otherwise I'll just keep trying to figure it out from what you've said so far. I'm very new to Houdini so just trying to feel my way at the moment.
Thanks so much for your help so far!
