seems quite simple, i want to align text to a path or line.

seems like the align or match axis sops are the logical places to go but i can't get decent results

reason being i'm making a little ruler tool for fun, so it'll read the distance between two points and draw it on the measured line.

huzzah, found a decent solution for now.

create a centroid for the path, give it a normal and up vector then copy the text to it.
