probably a stupid question but here goes:
how do you change the place place where the pivot point is in components mode?
someone told me it's insert key, but i'm on this keyboard:

Actually, the Insert key is only for the Pivot mode when moving in Objects mode. On OSX, you can use double quote (“). For components mode, I think you use the single quote (') key (called ”Attach to Geometry" in the handle's right mouse menu).
