Hi,
since a while now I haven't gotten a chance to render an image sequence: when I fire up mantra the 1st image renders and then nothing
I've had this issue before which I used to solve by deleting the “houdini 9.5” directory (snow leopard)
but now with houdini 10 I can't find this directory anymore
I have tried several times to unistall and install again but nothing changes
does anyone have a clue?
many thanks
cheers
can't render image sequence anymore

Hi,
If you have the “Clear completed frames” toggle turned off in the Render Scheduler, Houdini always gets stuck on the first render frame. This has been logged as a bug since 9.5 but please submit [sidefx.com] it again.
Cheers!

weird, i also just got this issue where mantra only outputs the first frame of the sequence. it goes through the entire render process but leaves only 1 frame.
with “Clear completed frames” in scheduler i suspect you mean “clear completed jobs”?
unfortunately that didnt fix it for me.
i also did an update to build 10.0.520 but still no go.
anyone else having this with the recent builds or having some work around.
hugs

ok, i got the reply now
so, i had not named my file sequence correctly, how stupid of me ops:
maybe youre doing the same thing
just in case you dont know you need to add $F to the name
instead of filename.png write filename_$F.png
that way each frame will get a unique file name and will not overwrite the previous.
filename_1.png filename_2.png and so on
