IMG_TileWrite::socketWrite: No such file or directory
mantra: Error writing data to image device

Anybody else getting this error when using render region and default driver? I'm using free Apprentice version.

Side note, my renders run when I use the pull down Render->Start Render. Still I much prefer render region option to work.

I switched from my machine's default trial version of Norton anti-virus to our home's standard of McAfee, it works now.

Must be something to do with firewall settings?

Just as a side note, this problem also occurs with the current avast antivirus solution. (5.0.507)

hi there. I have the exact same problem on windows 7 64bits. I'm running nod32 4 smart security(anti-virus & firewall).

it would be nice if sidefx can help with this. I'm no way uninstalling nod32 as I have paid for it. I also have a hd license but no use if i can't render..
