Hi,

I' trying to get some realtime data in via midi, unfortunately I can't choose any midi devices in the mid in CHOP, just midi file.

Houdini 10.0.595 and 11.0.446.9, OSX 10.6.4, got the same problem on my iMac and MBPro.

Is there anything i have to setup? Tried several midi devices and they all work normal with my audio applications.

Hi, I'm trying to do this as well. I've got my midi devices and OSX working but Houdini's midi in CHOP only allows me to select midi file as its source. Anyone find any solutions?

I'm using Houdini 11.0.588 on Mac Pro 10.6 and have several midi devices that are working fine with other applications.

Thanks for your help

I heard back from sidefx support and they said:

“MIDI in/out has not been implemented on OSX. Only MIDI files are supported. We might support it in future versions.”

If any other OSX users are wanting this feature supported, please make your voices heard. Thanks!

Last time I checked (H14) midi support it did not work under Linux/MacOS.

This is probably not an important feature for SideFX, but I wish it worked!

Ah, bummer. Just got excited to connect my Midi controller to my MacBook Pro running Houdini 19.5.
No devices available. Sadface.
