Thanks for the quick reply @Pixel8d. I really hope it is, I guess I may have to wait and see if I can just install version 16 on my license, I'm pretty excited for the new features

The new features look awesome!
I have a quick question: I recently (last month) purchased an Indie license for Houdini 15.5.
With version 16 now being released, is there a way for me to upgrade my Indie license to version 16 or would I have to re-purchase a full new license?
Thank you!

Hi everyone,
I want to create some clouds forming and am encountering consistent crashes whenever I try the following:
The strange this is that this will work as long as I'm not on the first frame of the animation.
The moment I try this while on frame 1 or I scrub back, Houdini starts to think really hard, eats up all my RAM and then crashes my PC. This happens even if I set this to 1 particle.
Am I doing something silly somewhere without knowing? I tried this on multiple computers, Houdini version 15.5.673.
Thank you!
I want to create some clouds forming and am encountering consistent crashes whenever I try the following:
- Brand new scene
- Create Location Particles, birth rate to 50, go up to obj level
- Create new Geometry node
- Inside Geometry node, create ObjectMerge and bring in location particles (select OUT null, Merge Into This Object option)
- Create Cloud and connect Object Merge
- Set Cloud Source To ‘Point Cloud Model’
- Watch the RAM shoot up and then Houdini crashes
