yes thats ok
but I would like to have mesh outside rib with the same tesselation as its done at render time, you know like convert to subs in maya but better with actual rm algorithm

I think there was same question at renderman forums
As I said there I think creating shader like this is amzing task and way to learn but after I saw NUKE DVDs from gnomon I would never go and render this in 3d but do it in compositing.
If you check those dvds you will see its a matter of minutes in nuke or shake
and it looks great
In fact the guy who is doing tutorials was working on Stealth where there was alot of afterburn going on so he probably knows what hes doing

to see how they recommend doing it?
I am waiting for tutorial on this since august when it was said its coming out soon
so in the time between I switched to dops and lsys because we got great new learning tools for them

I am happy to announce that last Thursday we had first
Houdini user group meeting!
It went very well and seven people were there!
Next one will be
on 30.November 2006 18:30
at the entrance to:
King Camera Services
73a Beak Street
London
W1F 9SR
If you are late please ring King camera door bell!
On first meeting we discussed each others background
and plans for how should this meetings be
so here are few conclusions
-we will discuss current work of members in Houdini
and try to help each other solving problems, this goes of course for personal work not job projects which are under NDA agreement
-we will setup blog site for group where we can publish announcements and current work(similar as LaMrug)
-meetings will take place every Thursday 18:30 King Camera Services
