Man apex rigging looks really cool! Im currently doing all of my rigging and animation inside of Unreal Engine. The strength it has for me right now is that I can subscribe to events to run more advanced code logic opening up doors for some really neat rig. For instance I have a set up where you can use both FK & IK without the need for a switch or blend. You can also key which interpolation mode you want so you can get smooth arcs with fk interpolation or linear motion with IK. I’m wondering if there is even the slightest chance I can do something similar in Houdini? We all know how heavy unreal is which limits me to only being able to animate on my work station. Would like to have something lightweight and performant as houdini running on a laptop when I’m on the go.
Here is a video demonstration the functionality. [vimeo.com]
