Which MaterialX nodes work for SOP/LOP preview?

Is there any way to know which of the MaterialX nodes are supported for GLSL codegen so you can view the effects of the node in the viewport? I know that some MaterialX nodes have warning in their help cards that say MtlxBlur [www.sidefx.com] "Not supported by Karma. Also not supported by MaterialX code-gen (other languages just pass-through)."



But it seems like a wide variety of MaterailX nodes are not supported for code gen in the Vulkan viewport including:

  1. mtlxcrosshatch (Not working in SOPs or LOPs)
  2. mtlxheighttonormal
  3. mtlxambientocclusion
  4. mtlxgooch_shade
  5. mtlxviewdirection
  6. hmtlxcircles2d (not working in SOPs, works in LOPs)
  7. mtlxcloverleaf
  8. mtlxrandomfloat


    I didn't test everything exhaustively, I'm sure there are more. It would be very helpful to know what is and is not supported. Using 20.5.550 (latest prod build as of writing)
