Where do I find the following parameters for Depth Map Shadows:

1/ Midpoint Z Value (Depth Quantization)

2/ Deep Shadow Style (Cont/Interpolated Opaque)

Those are obsolete parameters for Mantra 8. If you do a search in the Rendering parameters and use the word “depth” you can find the parameters under,
“Obsolete Houdini 8/Shadow”.

On a light object,
1) Open “Edit Rendering Parameters”
2) In the filter at the bottom of the parameter selection, type in “dsm”

You should see the different DSM options.

I would stay away from the H8 obsolete parameters Peter :-)

I wasn't recommending them Mark, just letting him know where they are and that they are obsolete.
