hello,
Because I am projecting my UVs after a revolve and I would like to be able to animate the cross section used for the revolve, It would be cool if I could “reference” a frame to make my UVs “sticky”.
Is there any other mechanism that I could use?

Do the revolve and apply the uv's, then lock that node and use a attribute copy to apply the “locked” uv's back to the changing revolve geometry.

Tks a lot Simon! I just need to add a toggle ( lock/unlock ) with python to update the UVs when its needed.

You could always write it out to disk and read it back in rather than just locking.

what about the timeshift node… this with a cache node could work great i have been using these for a shattering ground FX i was working last month.

so i need to project based on camera only at frame 1 i use the timeshift and then a cache node….
