I recently came across a thread on cgsociety regarding a superformula SOP in houdini:

There seem to be a few references on the old mailing list as well here on sidefx. Does anyone have this SOP or know where I can find it and whether or not it will work with the current version of houdini? I can't find it on the houdini exchange or anywhere else.

Ah, didn't see that, thanks! I downloaded it but it doesn't recognize it as a valid gzip file. Opened it up in vi and it seems to have a lot of html code from the sidefx website, don't know what that's about. I removed the beginning and the end and it unzipped, but I must have removed too much b/c it didn't recognize it

Thanks for the link, i'll try some more things to strip it of the html

Lucky for you, I have my own mailing list archive. See the attached .hip file which has the asset embedded.
