Is there a repository for L-System rules. I am looking to see how rules files look for tree making.

Err, can't really help you with your question, sorry, but I found this last night. I can't read Korean so it's not very useful to me, but what the heck…

i don't know if you're asking for a place of already predifined rules for specific plants or a place of what rules you can use to create whatever you had in mind, but if it's the latter than the sop quick help ‘?’ button will give you all the rules you can use.
plus the geo doc is a great place to learn all the funcs of houdini's l-system.. it's actually probably one of the most well documented things in houdini.
if you're going for a specific looking tree, i would draw it out and write down the rules needed for each step throughout it's growth..
hth,
dave
p.s. getting back to the first thing i mentioned… it's been talked about before how it would be nice to have a collection of them that anyone could take from and use or even post new ones.. i still have yet to find anything like that now but depending on what happens to me in the upcoming months career wise, i am considering starting one up around fall or so.
