may i ask how to make points created by “scatter” evenly distributed across a irregular surface?

and also, how to make all the scatter points located within the surface?

Here's another brute force way that brickers the geometry with the Divide SOP, over-scatters the points and then uses two Fuse SOPs to first snap and then cull the overlaps.

drop a ClothRefine SOP between the Cookie and Scatter .

thanks, Zarti! your suggestion can create similar results.

What I want to know is how to get the triangulation based on the points we get from Jeff's approach, i.e. how to get rid of the surfaces highlighted below in yellow boundary as generated by the Triangulation 2D SOP…

Advice is appreciate!

pardon the delay . problems with internet from here


in the above post i just replied to the question ,

which i didnt connected it with the hip-s being shared to that point .

anyway ..

, i made few additions to the file you posted on post #3 ,

where you already solved the point 's distribution .

added few comments too about different small issues ( hopefully ) .

Hi, this is no longer necessary. Houdini's scatter node already contains this feature.
