Ocean FX wave tank Help

Hi Guys/Gals

I am very new to Houdini and have been wrapping my head around for about 2 weeks now.

I have a question and it is regarding the wave tank.

I have an object that is bursting through the surface of the waves, my issues are as follows

1- waves motion is great however the splash trail that is generated by my object simulates and is a lot slower than the ocen motion itself

2- my objects collision area is about 3 times the size of the sphere i am using

How do i fix this as i am not sure how to.

Hmm…did you inspect your collision geometry well enough? Go inside your DOPNET and check the collision geometry (you can display it). Houdini usually turns any collision geo to a volume, however, depending on the geo and the setup of the conversion, there might be some weird volumes being created.

I have managed to solve the collision issue.

i am how ever still trying to solve as to why my splash is simulating as if it is in slow motion to my ocean speed
