This may be an easy one but I can't seem to figure out a way to rigidly constrain a camera to a simulated object. I need to do a POV shot off one of the RBD simulations. Is there a way of finding out it's world space coordinates Post-Sim?

Thanks in advance!

Well, you can use rivet to parent an OBJ level node to a geo point.

So that's how you use it. Love learning the nuance of all these new Houdini tools
Thanks!

New problem. I can use rivets to connect the camera and constrain the camera's rotation by using another rivet. However, due to the way that Houdini wants to have the camera have a relationship to an “up” orientation I'm having difficulty figuring out a way to keep the camera from constantly trying to “roll” when it is supposed to be hard mounted to the simulation object (POV style).

Any thoughts?

Add a Polyframe SOP, and in the DOP Import SOP add “up” to the “N” already present in the Vector Attributes To Transform parameter.

I guess adding the Polyframe after the DOP Import would work too.
