As you probably seen by my latest post, I am running Houdini on a Dell 9100 using WindowsXP. The card is a 128MB ATI Radeon 9700 with 1GB RAM.
I believe the Dell M60 just got a good writeup though for the life of me I can't find it … let me see if I can dig it up. The XPS Gen2 is great for playing games.
Cheers,
Rob

the DELL M70 is the previous generation of DELL laptop
geared for high end graphics.
its only 15.4 Inches where as the DELL xps is 17 inches.
(both are 1920x1200 res)
In my opinion its pretty hard to find a laptop that can
beat the XPS for price and quality.
I just want to make sure that houdini will be happy on the
256MB NVIDA GeForce Go 6800 Ultra card.

Yeah the XPS 2 should be happy with Houdini, but before you buy one, read some of the posts at notebookforums.com as a lot of people seem less than thrilled with the quality of the screen. After reading countless negative reviews (even those satisfied were just settling) I decided to go with the M70.
