Hi maybe this is a strange problem. in maya can't use Houdini's sculpt sop, is that right? so I need sculpt or edit points in maya. the question is: can I record back the sculpted geo in Houdini edit or sculpt sop? I do not want use another input to fetch the sculpted geometry. because it will duplicate the whole geometry, if it's a high level geometry, will waste lots of memory. and if it record in edit sop, only the edited points will use memory.
Unfortunately, there's no way to pass the edited information from sculpting back to Houdini. It's not really a geometry or parameter. Maybe if there's a way to convert the Maya edits into something like colors, then you can send the colors in and use the information in Houdini?
