Hi guys,
does anybody know how to get the normal pass from a volume? (for example from a smoke shader).

Hi Antonio
I was after the same thing and went to the trouble of faking it in a shader which did the job. But then I discovered a much easier way.
Edit the parameter interface for your volume object and expose this:
root > Mantra > Geometry > Compute Normals for Volumes
and then of course make sure that in your render ROP you tick the Shading Normal layer
