How do I create a toggle parameter in my digital asset to control visibility of a node please?

In the parameter menu for the HDA interface there is a toggle parameter. which could be connected to a visibility sop

thank you, its the “could be connected” that I don't understand. How could it be?
I'm not a coder and have never used toggle parameter and cannot find a video tutorial.

I think you're phrasing your question wrongly, because I can't think of a way nor a reason you'd want to toggle the visibility of a node.

Maybe you're looking for a switch node.

@Drakon, here's what @circusmonkey approximately meant (or this is for future googlers):

So in my case, I've plugged a bookmark branch (on the left to the Merge) into a Merge SOP, and whenever the toggle is checked, it also goes into the Merge.
