Hi Guys,
Not sure where to post this, but I'm getting a virus warning (GenVariant.Ser.Razy.326)on i3dconvert.exe and hsc.exe for the Windows installer of H17.
Win10, F-Secure, latest version and updates. It's probably a false flag, but wanted to let you know.
Rob
Will scan my machine a extra time for nasties though

Hi,
Just to be sure, I checked both files on Jotti.
I get the same warning with GData, BitDefender, eScan and F-Secure out of a 15 scanner checks.
I cannot un-quarantine/OK the files now, as F-Secure will pick them up at the next scan.
Also, my Win10 system is becoming quite unstable for some reason with all this file blocking, and am forced to reboot after the quarantine every time….
A regular virus scan finds nothing else, so I can assume I'm in the clear for other stuff…..

Same here, should we be worried, i dont want to mess up my newely fresh workstation ?
If you look up about the Razy, the net says:
Gen:Variant.Razy is a heuristic detection designed to generically detect a Trojan Horse. Due to the generic nature of this threat, we are unable to provide specific information on what it does.
A typical behavior for Trojans like Gen:Variant.Razy is one or all of the following:
Download and install other malware.
Use your computer for click fraud.
Record your keystrokes and the sites you visit.
Send information about your PC, including usernames and browsing history, to a remote malicious hacker.
Give a remote malicious hacker access to your PC.
Advertising banners are injected with the web pages that you are visiting.
Random web page text is turned into hyperlinks.
Browser popups appear which recommend fake updates or other software.

After 80 views, it looks like I'm the only one having this issue?
Oh well…. sigh..
rob
Edit: didn't see your post pop up yesterday before my comment, but those four files are in my scan list as well. On various scanners.
I still say False Positive, but it's annoying as hell.
