Hi,

Is there an explanation why the top surface of the box has no detailing applied when there's a hole in it? Is this a bug?
Any advice to work around?
Thanks,
.raf

sorry, i cant help but i wondered if you'd ever found a solution for this?
the general consensus seems to be that the glass shatter only works on flat planes, maybe the curves are over riding the effect

Inside the RBD Material Fracture there's a GLASS_FRACTURE node which does the detail. Inside that there's a section for determining the impact surface and the groups aren't working with the boolean. This is from the sticky note:

Auto determining the impact surface based on the largest area of the geometry. We should let user specify exactly the impact surface in the future.

You can adjust the edgeplanes group and it will work.
