How to paint stiffness weight map for vellum

Hi, fairly new to houdini, so don't yet know what I don't know!

Is it possible to paint a weight map for stiffness in vellum cloth constraint?

This is something I am interested in also. I am experimenting with simulating a shirt and I want the collar to be stiffer. Did you find the answer Andy ? point groups ? Thanks !

right next to Stiffness parm on Vellum Constraints node there is a dropdown that allows you to use an attribute to scale the value

not really about stiffness of cloth, but painting an attrib to scale stiffness on a Pressure constrain won't work.

I tried using vellum in DOPs but the scaling will work if i assign an attrib a specific value, say 1 or 0, but if the attrib is using = @Cd.x on a b&w painted mask, the scaling wont work on those prims/points…

i can't figure it out.


What i am after eventually is a torus with a noise mask, tha will cause some parts to be floppy and others to be stiffer.
