Hard Gun Project is aimed to make the same tools like in Blender BoxCutter/HardOps. Houdini is a new game player in hard surface modeling world.

- No need additional assets. Houdini already has everything.

I have added Seams Cheater tool at Orbolt. It will work great with Hard Gun.

Anyway you could make this work like Topobuild? Where its interactive and doesnt create extra Nodes?

In Windows my path to the shelves folder is “C:\Users\mifth\Documents\houdini17.0\toolbar”.
Just google “houdini install shelf”.

I'll be glad to get your feedback about the tools.

Thanks Pavel. Unfortunately, in spite of reading everything I can find on installing shelf files I still can't figure it out. I guess I don't understand enough about Houdini's operation to do something like this. Maybe one day…

There was a bug. Hard_gun_sop was returning syntax error until I replaced all string
hard_gun_
to short
hg_
Maybe it was too long, I don't know.

No, you shouldn't. I've just updated to the latest Houdini's subversion release and everything starts to work as-is in your repository. Thank you, Pavel. Curve booleans and advanced bevels are cool features and working like a charm.

I'm still using H17.5.
H18 has new python 3. But there should be no changes. Could you please show error messages?
Did you install the HG panels successfully?

WoooW! houdini crashed.
It looks like this is houdini's issue. Are you able to download new houdini version? May be this will help.

Shelves are just xml files. Nothing special. They should not crash houdini.
