I'm trying to make a small simulation with some rigid bodies and some viscous fluid. Video is at
VIDEO
, and I've attached my DOP network.
The problem is that the spheres don't seem to be affected by the fluid. The fluid flows around them, though.
Any ideas on where to look or what can be done to make the spheres get pushed around as the fluid falls on them?
Thanks,
David

The main thing is the Feedback Scale under Volume Motion, it defaults to 0 which means no feedback to the RBD objects

I tried various values for the Feedback Scale, even very large values, like 1000, and it doesn't seem to be affecting anything. I suspect I'm still missing something that allows it to do the feedback.

Hmm, just at a guess from how they're laid out, did you copy those spheres from a scatter? Try adding a Normal or Point sop before the Copy to Points

I tried adding a normal or a point sop, and tried this on both inputs to Copy to Points. It doesn't seem to have any effect. I'm attaching the hiplc file, if anyone wants to play with it. David

Maybe you have to set the “Affector relationship” in the Merge node to “mutual”. Also make sure the Feedback Scale is not zero.

May I ask whether it has been solved now
