Hello,
I am a 3ds Max user. I have been trying to learn Houdini in the past years and was unsuccessful. Reason was the sudden use of expressions/scripts, It's less pleasing to use and apply things which is completely unknown.
It would be great if you can tell where to start, not necessarily tutorial also what kind of programming would be a good start for the understanding and for the known use of the same.

Thanks,

@mestela: “Joy of VEX” - that title always sets me laughing cause I´m involuntarily reminded of a best-seller of similar name from back in the 80´s )
Cool, I liked your “non VFX VFX” webinar a lot + just browsed the tutorials section after a year´s or so pause, being delighted to find you got more out there (yeeh!).
Thnx + keep up the good work

Varomix has a tutorial on VEX. I haven't purchased it, but his other tutorials are excellent for getting started. https://www.mixtrn.com/nature-of-vex [www.mixtrn.com]
