Hi.
I have found that packed fragments are requiring up to 10 times more RAM then regular packed primitives.
Same goes for viewport redraw - it is much slower.
So why this option checked “by default”?
In attachment I copied 3 objects to 100 000 points.
Packed primitives - 4gb RAM viewport:easy to rotate
Packed fragments - filled all my 32 RAM and crashed.

Packed fragments are not for copies, packed fragments are for separating a large geo into separate pieces with different transforms, but the same detail attributes.
