Wrong Viewport Colorspace when using OCIO v2

I set the $OCIO to C:\ProgramData\Redshift\Data\OCIO\config.ocio and Houdini seens can load it. But obviously it shows the wrong colorspace in ACES 1.0 sdr-video. Here's the compare of solaris viewport and rs renderview. Is there anyway to use ocio v2 in solaris correctly?

Not that I know of. OCIO 2 isn't supported properly yet.

The only working OCIO v2 config I know of is the one that ships with Maya 2022. It does indeed work with Houdini. Some (most?) renderers are not compatible yet though. Personally, I'd wait on switching. It will probably see more adoption in the coming year or two.

For me the Maya config doesn't work completely fine in Houdini. The ACES 1.0 SDR video tone-mapping doesn't work. The resulting image is the same as the un-tone-mapped view transform. The Redshift, Arnold and Maya renderviews all do work with the ACES 1.0 SDR video view transform. Houdini/MPlay/Solaris are not behaving correctly in my opinion.

Good to know. I like that the Maya 2022 default config is convenient and simple. I'll switch eventually, but ACES 1.2 is still working fine and is compatible with everything, no need to rock the boat yet.

Does this mean we have to wait until Houdini 20 to get proper OCIO v2 support?

Hopefully it will fully support OCIO 2.1 by then
