Karma XPU Seg Fault

I have a solaris karma xpu setup using sopimports to bring in some points and polys. It's very straight forward. Just geo, some simple karma material x shaders and a karma physical sky, all using velocity blur. When attempting to render to either mplay or disk, it seg faults a majority of the time producing the attached error. I have attempted to reduce the max threads by 1 or 2 as suggested by some previous posters as well as enabled the environment variable KARMA_XPU_OPTIX_ENABLE_OPTIXIR=1. None of those things worked.

However, if I change the karma physical sky mode from the new Atmospheric setting to the traditional Dome light setting, the error goes away. Not sure if this is a red herring tho.

(Sidenote, my son originally posted this issue yesterday but since he's never posted before, he's waiting for approval on the post. We can remove his original post once it makes it on here).
