Why is MPM not working as seen online?

I see this new MPM thing is suppose to do all of these things but I tested it on 2 powerful machines and the thing is totally useless. Even with SideFX setups. Namely it just stops working after 30 to 50 frames, simulation freezes and then all together dissapears from the viewport. I tried everything, switching settings, making it lighter. Mind you I have 128 GB RAM on bodth machines and decent (little on the older side) graphics card.
How do you people make it work because it looks so easy on the website and then it crashes and doesnt work in real life?

How much VRAM does the GPU have? I have only seen the avalance scene running on a 3090 and it was fast, but closing in on maxing the VRAM.

This is the worst solver so far IMO because it doesnt work.

Depends on what you are trying to use it for and how you are doing that too.

I only have 64GB and mediocre video card too.

MPM worked perfectly for my purposes. And was pretty snappy too.

You see this is what baffles me. How can it work perfectly for you and not work at all for me. My container was like 5x5x5 and resolution was like 0.05 I mean its basic stuff.
I will do my best to figure this out as I do want this to work but I am so frustrated that I dont know what is causing these crashes.

I dont know about Vram it doesnt say anywhere I have Nvidia Quadro 5000 so whatever ram that includes. Also Houdini was always CPU based so I didnt expect it to use Vram at all.

Even with SideFX setups.

I was going to suggest looking at some peoples tutorials and/or even SideFXs ones then take it from there(meaning start with someone elses then modify).

However, as I quoted what you said at the top....this does seem odd.

Maybe pick a specific SideFX setup and post from there to compare with others outputs/results?

MPM is running on openCL, it's very likely your GPU driver version could be the culprit.
