I am a Houdini Steam user, and Houdini Engine Sync is not working properly in Unreal. When I try to open Houdini Session Sync from Unreal, Houdini attempts to launch but then stops with the message:
Error: Failed to start SessionSync - No licenses were available.
To work around this, I start Houdini manually, initiate the Houdini Session Sync, and then go through the process in Unreal, which allows the sync to work.
However, the issue is that the session is not opened correctly. In Unreal, the "Close Houdini Session Sync" menu remains disabled, so I cannot properly close the session. As a result, every time I try to exit, it becomes unresponsive, forcing me to shut it down manually.
Is there a way to make Houdini Session Sync work correctly with the Steam version?
