Can I animate visibility of a piece of geometry in sop level without using transparency of materials?

Hello,

you could add an Attribut adjust float and give it "Alpha" as the attribut with capital letter A and animate the value or for just on/off - a switch with a null as second input and animate the input.

The visibility SOP does exactly this.
