CROWDS

Houdini's crowd tools use artist-friendly shelf tools along with packed agent primitives, a Finite State Machine solver and hardware accelerated display of instanced crowds to bring heavily populated shots to life. To art direct the results, you have access to controls for crowd layout, rag doll dynamics, steering, collision avoidance, terrain adaptation, motion blending, and look-at targets. All of these capabilities allow you to create believable motion amongst the masses.
