Snow Leopard and Houdini good to go? Sept. 28, 2009, 3:29 a.m.

Since you are on ATI, it's not likely a display driver problem. Make sure that you have X11 installed on your machine. It's an optional install on OS X. The program that we use to convert out SVG icons has a dependency on X11.
If you don't have it installed, you should be able to install it from your OS X install DVD.
So after install X11, Houdini works well ! Icon is present and no openGL lag !
I don't create a big scene yet. Any way, I want only use Houdini at home on my iMac to practice it, if I'm not using it at work (some time I need to work on Maya).
Thanks for your help !

Oups.. I true, I didn't install X11 (saving space on my small HD).
I will try that this week-end.
Thanks all for your answers, I feel less alone :-)
Snow Leopard and Houdini good to go? Sept. 25, 2009, 12:02 a.m.
Hi all Mac OS X users,
I have a iMac 2.4 Ghz with a ATI RadeonHD2600 256 MB. I never test Houdini on Leopard. I install the version 10.0.401 fix the permission on the 2 folders. After that I can launch Houdini. Unfortunately, I don't have any icon and the interface is very very slow… 2-5 second lag on any process.
That issue is due by Snow Leopard or my iMac is too old ?
Thanks
