Labs Gaea nodes not recognizing Gaea 2 install(?) Dec. 16, 2024, 9 a.m.
I'm not sure why this worked, but I'm happy to have things working now! For anyone in the future that runs into this, I did a full uninstall of Gaea, restarted my machine, and installed the exact same Gaea version again.
Labs Gaea nodes not recognizing Gaea 2 install(?) Dec. 15, 2024, 11:03 p.m.
I'm trying to run the new Gaea nodes [youtu.be] in Houdini, but I'm getting this error on any node I try:
Invalid source /obj/box1/canyon1/error_report/attribvop1.
(Error: Gaea 2.0 cannot be found on your system. Please ensure it has been installed for this plugin to work. To install Gaea, look at the Help for this node.).
Houdini Indie version: 20.5.278
Labs version: 20.5.410
Gaea 2 Professional version: 2.0.5.4
Has anyone else run into this? I would really appreciate any help because these nodes look fantastic and I'd love to try them out.

Hair procedural - UVs April 29, 2024, 2:40 p.m.
Hi there!
I'm aiming to create dense fur in Solaris and I'm trying out the fur procedural for the first time. When I render my input groom (coming from a hairgen sop) with my texture it looks as expected, but when I render things with the hair procedural I don't see the texture and my current guess is that the UVs aren't being generated for some reason.
The hair procedural seems to be reading the density attribute from my skin mesh, and I have the required attributes on the input guides. In the hair procedural guide settings, "Attributes to Copy" does not seem to make a difference if I add a * there.
I haven't come across a whole lot of information about using the hair procedural with discussions about the UVs, so if someone could point me in the right direction I'd really appreciate it!
