With distributed sims you have to set the "gas net slice exchange" DOP node to always update. (Its set to set to initial by default)
I tried everything and finally your solution worked ! Thanks! So the default setup created by distribute Particle Fluid shelf tool isnt right? thats weird
Strange edges while creating velocity volumes using volume node March 11, 2019, 4:28 a.m.
I have a simple box which I am using to create a velocity volume. But as you can see in pic below, output looks strange. According to docs, it should create velocity volume with constant value {0,0,1} set for all voxels, however I am seeing this strange edges. Is it a graphic card issue or am I missing something?
Another issue is, when I place a vertical grid inside volume and use velocity trail sop, I expected that all trails should be of same color since I have set the velocity values as {0,0,1} for all voxels, but why I am seeing this gradient which clearly indicates velocity values near edges are less than 1 ?

I think that is what the Masks tab is for. If you want to mask out a specific portion of a field and have Volume Operations only affect that portion.
Yes that can be done but my question was why it adds the velocity at the empty voxels. Can you shed some light?
