khomatech, who knows what a mess in your hardware/settings/os to trigger such a karma. i'd prefer to spend 1-2 hours to experiment with a clean system + fresh drivers + houdini to catch a step which causes such a behaviour instead of spending a bunch of days waiting for a solution on the plate

khomatech, well it may be neatvideo or something similar in this case. take a look at your services, try to turn off some of them (chaos, adobe, etc licensing) before starting houdini or maybe you have just to add exception to your firewall for the husk.

*once upon a time it was just a file libRAY.dll which prevented normal work for both of houdini and mentalray in maya

khomatech, close houdini, stop redgiant service, move/comment your ofx folder with _ and restart houdini
