Karma ROP not working with PDG (TOP) ROP Fetch Jan. 6, 2023, 9:09 a.m.
Hi, I've noticed the ROP Fetch will execute the Karma ROP from Solaris and write the files etc, but it doesn't pass those images on to the rest of the TOP network. So instead of an output of my_render.exr I get __render__.usd (file/geo/usd) as the output. This means I'm unable to do any further image maniupulation such as mosaic, text overlay etc.
ropkarma in TOPs works, but I want to keep all the render settings in Solaris. This TOP network is just for quick contact sheets and wedging etc
Thanks
EDIT: Added a quick example scene

RBD Hinge Contraints with animated geo Sept. 27, 2022, 10:07 a.m.
Hi, I'm struggling to get my head around how to use rbdhingeconstraint in a dopnet
I have an animated object and I'd like to attach another object to that so that it sways about dynamically.
I can't seem to attach the rbdhingeconstraint goals to any animated geo. They stay fixed a world space location, even if I set a goal object?
What am I missing?
The hinge (animated moves off but the goal position remains at 0,0,0 (world space)
Thanks

Copying geometry to vellum string (making rope) July 13, 2022, 2:34 p.m.
Hi, I'm trying to sim lots of rope on a ship and although I can simply use polywire, I'd like to try and keep the original model's rope geometry.
Is there a way to use path deform or point deform to achieve this result?
I've had some success with point deform, but I think it was more luck and not really a robust workflow.
Here [www.dropbox.com] is a simple scene of some vellum string in a breeze and an alembic file of some rope.
As you can see the rope is horribly distorted.
Any help or suggestion would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks
(It's Indie so let me know if I should recreate in NC?)
