I just posted a similar problem before seeing this thread. Same thing here with Houdini 11. Only I have a MacBook Pro with the ATI x1600. No shaded objects will appear. Bummer. I can't change graphic cards.

I just started trying to learn houdini 11. I cannot get any viewports to show any shaded objects. I create a cube and I try to select the flat or shaded options and I can only get a wireframe to work. The other choices make the object disappear from view. What am I doing wrong? I am on a MacBook Pro 17" with 2gb of ram. It has an ATI x1600 graphics built in. Latest Snow Leopard OSx and drivers.

Edit- I just saw some other threads with similar problems. Is there a cure? I cannot replace the graphics since it is built in.
