Step by step tutorial on rig/animation export Feb. 16, 2011, 3:35 a.m.
Hi Community!
I am currently looking for a step by step tutorial/help on the matter of exporting rig/animations using the .dts format and .dsq for animations.
In my current setup the model is working as intended and that part is completely fine. But when i export it the rig does not follow, im pretty sure this is intended and i need to do something extra to accomendate for it, However i don't know how.
I have started fiddling around with .cfg but so far i haven't had any luck.
The process so far have been:
1. create the model
2. texture work
3. adding the autorig
4. make simple animation to see if animation is exporting properly.
Side note: I am exporting for the Torque3D engine so i am checking within the engine in the model viewer if the rig is shown in the character but so far i cant see the nodes.
i however do see that there is a animation added but thats the extent of it cant play the animation since the rig isen't working properly on export.
PS: i am using the Auto rig.
Best regards
