Memory error like "Exception break point has been reach Sept. 5, 2003, 1:58 a.m.
Hi 
, I am new to 3D graphics and just got the Apprentice Edtion from 3D World and also downloaded the lastest version 6.1114 and I get the above error message at odd times depending on what I was doing. But what I have reading in here and looking at the hardware requirements I am guessing it is my videocard. I have checked my 2x Ram sticks by changing them around, using only one at a time etc.
What is the best, not the top of the range, dual monitor video card that is known to work well with Houdini?
My current system is a Intel Pent 4 2Ghz 1G DDR ram, Win2000Pro SP3 and Dual monitor ATI Radeon Value video card. Now I know the site says it doean't work with this card but when used in Dual Monitor modes using HydraVision it does but set for single monitor it craps outs and does strange things. But I do love the product.
