The Visual Effects course at Seneca Polytechnic is designed to give students the skills and knowledge needed to succeed in the visual effects industry. Taught by experienced industry professionals, the program covers everything from the basics to advanced techniques. Students learn procedural modeling, particle systems, fluid dynamics, cloth simulation, rigid body dynamics, advanced animation techniques, and Python programming. They get hands-on experience with the latest tools and software used in professional studios, including Houdini for procedural effects and Nuke for compositing.

This eight-month graduate certificate program is designed to turn talented artists into AAA game asset modelers. This unique program prepares our students to create an animate environments, characters and other assets using a 3D immersive space.

Through this program students will learn modeling, lighting, texturing, animation, scene staging, art direction and production management. Their learning will be further advanced by using industry-relevant techniques taught by professors with years of industry experience. With high-end computer hardware and software, students will learn to use tools used to develop game art and incorporate it into real-time environments.
